Prelim evaluation
1) Shot reverse shot is used though out the prelim production it keeps the action to minimum with no special shot transitions between each shot.
.the 180-degree rule was never broken I didn’t see any reason to cross the line I thought it would be more pleasing to keep everything on a single side.
.match on action was only used on one occasion at the beginning of the film to turn off a light.
.using the correct framing, camera angles and shots was more difficult to get right as this was my first ever short film I did my best to do what I thought was correct.
2) The social group I thought to present was age. The age of the man being interrogated was meant to be a young adult. This person has kidnapped two children as a bribe for an item he required. And I think the age of the man shows it doesn’t matter how old someone is doesn’t mean they can do thing unexpected. I tried to portray this in a serious way to show age really doesn’t matter, things like that can still happen. I think I achieved this the dialog the character was using it wasn’t proper speak which is what you would expect from an older person.
3) I think the audience would be for older teens it would contain high action scenes It could take a route similar it the fast and furious franchise. It would also be aimed more towards males but not specifically for men. I think some of the interest the audience would have it crime action which I think the film genre would be.
4) The film would attract people in multiple ways such as music, titles and some of the editing choses I made. With the opening title screen and the music behind it work really well in my opinion and with the opening shot has to interest your audience to build up the hype around your film.
5) I have learnt loads making my film I knew nothing about editing or camera work before I began making the film and even though the film isn’t the best the skills which I have gained will help loads with the main project in a couple of month. Not only that but I can use the skills in project I do outside my a levels which I think is the main thing.
